~Dare to Dream~

I bought these really cute Journals from Jeanne at Bushel and a Peck. She really has such cute stuff.

Any-hoo.....so it got me to thinking about the theme on both of them that I was attracted to ....DREAM

Ok...so here I go. I am going to try to not cross the invisible line and tell too much.
Let me first start of with this "25 things about you" thing I have been tagged with several times on Facebook. I have not done it. Why you ask.....here I go with the invisible line thing. I have a hard time coming up with 25 cute things to tell about myself.

Now..let me try to tie this in with the dream thing......
I feel like I am always trying to find my dreams....this is the conversation I have in my head about this..."everyone else is so talented....they have dreams....look at what they are doing....again I repeat...they had dreams...they went after their dreams....look how great they are....." anyway you get the point.

I have to tell you....I come from a realllllly, realllllllllllly, reallllly screwed up childhood. It took me to get these journals and a night of not sleeping lastnight to realize I am living my dream.
I don't have an eye for color....I can't put a "cute" outfit together for the life of me....my blog isn't perfect...I don't really have that many friends, I don't really have any hobby's(other than blogging). However, I must say, I am living my dreams. I also just love and adore others who have what I don't. I also know that I have things that they don't. When I was a little girl all's I dreamed for was a husband who loved me, a house to call my own, a home with lots of laughter, enough money to pay the basic bills, and food to put in my kids bellies.

I am a lucky, lucky girl. That doesn't mean that I stop making more dreams for myself....I just have to remember where I come from and where I am.

Now let me tell you what my new dream is....I want this blog to rock.
I want it to be uniquely me.

So all you people out there....TELL ME YOUR DREAMS.

~Let's make dreaming contagious~

when it really comes down to it, who cares what are clothes look like, or how big our house is, or even how many friends we have. what matters is that we are living our lives in a way that glorifies God. that we are being a good wife, a good mother, a good person to those in need. you seem to be one of the nicest people around, amy. and that is saying A LOT.

Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
Colossians 3:2

Our ultimate dream should be getting to heaven and taking as many people with us as we can!

love ya,

I cried when I read this, it's really beautiful! It's so weird that you wrote this today, because I have been having the same problem with the 25 things and I've been tagged a million times, but I'm also a little scared to put that out on my facebook.

I thought my dream was to became a lawyer and change the world of health care, putting care back into the hands of doctors and out of the insurance companies. Somewhere in there I was also going to create public health programs for women in Africa, teaching them about AIDS.

Looking back at my "dreams" I realized that all I really wanted was to help the world in some significant way. I might not be able to go to Africa anymore, but that doesn't mean I still can't achieve my dreams- I can still change the world in some meaningful way, it just might not be the way I planned on changing it.

Would it be okay if I wrote about this topic on my blog and link back to you?

I just find it so spooky that so often my favorite bloggers (YOU) are thinking the same things I am. I was right where you are a few months ago and now I'm embarking on a dream of mine that's becoming a reality. I just blogged about it today. (Not the details just the fact of!)

When someone asks me how I am I always say "LIVING THE DREAM" because like you said, when it comes right down to it we have all we need. The simple, honest to God stuff that is important.

By the way, I can't put an outfit together to save my life either....... and I wish you lived near me because we would definitely be hanging out!

Do love those notebooks! I have many, many notebooks in my house - I'm ready. One of my dreams (and I do have a few), is to go back to Paris and flea market with my best buddy. Just thinking about the idea makes me excited (obviously, a few logistical issues to take care of, but in dreamland it's all so easy, isn't it...?)

Hi there - thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving such a sweet comment. I'm so glad I found you (so now you have a new friend) and we have A LOT in common!! I feel the same way sometimes it feels like everyone else is living their dream, etc, but you're right - if you look around, most likely you are living your dream, or close and if you aren't - then take steps to make things happen (baby steps are good). I'm with you - I have a rockin' husband, great, healthy kids and a sweet little house - what else do I need? Sounds like you have all you need too!! You are blessed!

Hi Maisy, thank you for the kind comments about my daughter.
I think you are right most of us do live our dream. Because what You aspire to is what you obtain. If you want to be a Dr. you go to med school, the same with acting and the arts, you work at what you want and in most cases either get it or find out it wasn't what you wanted in the first place.
Most women want just what you described a family and the means to take care of them.
I am not quite living my dream, because it is in a world where there is peace, health, and no death. I am still waiting for that part to come. TTFN
