So this past weekend I went junkin'.
I had so much fun.
I have had my eye out for a vintage gumball machine.
With all the pieces intact.
This is the kind that is super, duper, mighty heavy.
It has grunge I can't even clean off.
Since growing up in a family that owned candy store....
This makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
A vintage seltzer bottle.
Now, if I could just figure out where to put it.
This is a stack of old post cards.
Some of them date back to 1881.
It's really hard to read some of the writing.
It's so squiggly, wiggly.
I LOVE THEM ALL!!!
What did you do this past weekend?

Amy, those are some awesome finds!
Well goodness me. I have a gumball machine exactly like that one sitting in my upstairs. Used to be downstairs , but I got tired of it. It even still has gumballs in it. I guess truth be told I didn't think the red really went with my house so up it went.
Lovely finds Amy!!
Blessings~
Great finds!! What a fun weekend!
Have you ever read Savannah Blues? If not, I think you should because you'd LOVE it! It's all about this girl/lady who has an antique shop and goes junkin'- if you have a chance, add it to your reading list.
Hope everything is going well with you guys :)
I love that seltzer bottle! I have one too and struggle where to put it also. The gum machine is adorable and will look so great in your house!
how fun! I forgot that your family owned a candy store! So you must love the gum ball machine!
I went to see Bonnie Raitt! But, I'd rather have a GumBall machine...
Great stuff, Amy. I went to a fabulous rummage sale where I got very lucky!
the postcards look so cool, the gumball machine is such a fun find... especially with your candy store connection luv that!
I was a soggy wet cold mess all weekend but it was worth it.

Ahhhhh - junkin :) Gotta love it. I went Friday and had a wonderful time. Great finds!
I certainly did not have as much fun as you! I went to the Children's Museum though--and then ran out of parking meter change and had to leave despite the fact that my son could have played for another 3 hours!!!! Sad, huh?!
i've been wanting to go junking ... but alas, I was home with the fam. Had a chili cook-off party at a dear friend's house on Sat night. Sun was the typical church/brunch and then get-ready-for-the-week cleaning, etc.
Boring - but there was a great sense of comfort in the routine!
xoxo
Loving that gumball machine ~ what a find!!
What great finds. That gumball machine looks just like mine, only a different color! Does it have any markings on it?
Love the seltzer bottle and postcards, so nice!
