~More From New York~

Life got away from me and I forgot to show you some "Maisy" photos from my trip to The Big Apple.

These are just misc. photos that I took.
Not of people. Just of things that I thought were awesome.

I promise....someday I will do a post of what I observed at Central Park.
I LOVE that place.

These photos are from Ellis Island.
I'm sure some of your relatives came through Ellis Island.
I know some of mine did.
I think that's what made this place so special to me.
I was actually pretty quiet in this place.
IMAGINE THAT!!!!!
Seriously, try~

This was some of the unclaimed luggage.

It's hard for me to imagine that this was all of the peoples belongings.
It makes me feel so indulged.

And to think that they lost everything they had.

Some of them are just gorgeous.

I would love to get my hands on some of these.
Just try to picture what we would find inside.

This photo was taken across the street from the World Trade Center, Ground Zero.
I'm not sure if you remember but there was a church with a cemetery right across the street. Nothing happened to this place. It was actually set up for the search and rescue teams.

When I saw how beautiful this place was it just took my breath away.

Just look at the details.
I wonder why this church was protected.
Huh?
Not an ash or ember hit this property.
Weird.

Ahhhh, this chandelier.
*sigh*
*sigh*
*sigh*

This lantern was across the street from Jakob's office.
The park was full of them.
They keep them lit with fire all day.

I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this building.
I wonder if the people who live there ever step out of their windows and just gaze below.
I know I would!
This was in the heart of So-Ho.

This was across the street from our hotel.
Imagine if those were your living room windows.

I really fell in love with this city.
I reallllly want to go back!!

Gorgeous! I've never been to NYC, but your pics make me want to go so badly. The church is gorgeous, and the pictures of those trunks make me get a lump in my throat. We take for granted on a daily basis what our ancestors did for us. It is amazing that I have this life all because someone wanted better than what they had, and they had the nerve to go and get it. Just amazing.

What kind of camera did you use to shoot these pics?

You really have a great eye for photography! I love architecture photos. (Did I spell that right??) Jesse is kinda interested in architecture...he took a class in it and did well. I so love cities with OLD buildings. I would go crazy going thru all those trunks!. I have a reoccuring dream of inheriting an old house with a attic FULL of my favorite kind of OLD stuff. I wake up and wonder where I came up with all that great stuff in my mind!! I think after seeing your photos, I will have dreams of going thru all those trunks!!

Hey Amy- I think she was making up the recipe as she went along cause she wasn't following one. It was a fresh mushroom, sausage, asparagus and pasta dish with fresh herbs, and fresh mozarella. SOOOOO yummy!!!!
