This is a post I have given great thought to.
My blog is very personal to me.
It exposes me.
It brings you into my HOME.
It brings you into my FAMILY.
It shows photos of my KIDS.
You probably don't know this but....... I am actually a recluse.
I like to stay home.
I LOVE privacy.
Have I ever mentioned that I am wired pretty funky??
However, the older I get the more I just enjoy being ME!
The more I'm willing to just accept who I am....not the person I have spent almost 40 years creating...but the actual person I was born to be....THE HAPPIER I AM!!!!
Now with all that being said....
I know there are people out there who read my blog that are no longer part of my life.
This blog was not meant for them to keep tabs on me.
It was meant for ME!!!....and of course all my new super duper blog land friends.
Some of you I actually just call my friend.
It was meant for me to have some sort of outlet as I continue to work through some of life's tough stuff.
So, to all the people out there...and you know who you are....who are not a part of my life, my kids lives or my families life, once and for all BUTT OUT!!!!
I was going to change my blog name but decided this is MY blog.
You are MY friends.
This is MY life.
I am so happy you are here with me.
I'm so happy that I have some incredible women in my life that we can all go on this roller coaster of life together.
Have a great weekend and THANK YOU for allowing me to continue to KEEP IT REAL!!!

It always saddens me when blogs are intruded upon, or criticized or treated wrongly because they ARE an extension of us. There is no need for anyone to be ugly, spiteful or rude via a blog. I'm so sorry you've even had to say this, but I do understand. Hopefully it will continue to be a happy place, a happy extension of you with no meanies coming round.

Keep it real, baby!! It's hard sometimes, but we need to be true to ourselves...and you know your friends love you for being you!!
EXACTLY why I started blogging...FOR M-E.
Since I've started blogging - I've reconnected with MYSELF, and YOU - are a BIG part in that.
You reached out to me when I thought I would just be sending words/pictures out in to cyberspace - YOU gave me a sense of purpose and motivated me!
I'm SO glad you didn't change your blog name - I hope all those unwanted-types BUTT OUT, and I'm SO thankful to call you my FRIEND.
xoxoxoxo TGIF!
PS - any more thought of a SoCal trip?
I love your blog Amy!
Don't change a thing my friend.
Enjoy your weekend.
~Melissa ;)
You are NOT alone.
Some days I find myself filtering what I think/feel because I'm afraid to offend someone but this was my place to learn about ME.
I started to defend my wants to RUN today but I stopped and claimed myself proudly!
GOOD FOR YOU, AMY!!
This is YOUR place and if people don't like it--their loss cuz you my friend ROCK IT!
I so agree! We should not have to censor ourselves and constantly worry about being ourselves! Yay for keeping it real!!! I love your blog and getting to know you more! I love having you as a friend! :)
Have a great weekend!
I figure, if people are nosy enough to butt into my life, they don't have a life themselves. I'm sure there are some people who read my blog that I would rather not, but it isn't for them. It is for me, my friends, and my family. I'm glad to call you a friend, and for all those other "creepy blog stalkers" they need to take a hike!!
You go girl!!!
Very well said. I find blogging is a great way to let out life's frustrations. Without actually chewing somebody out. I love reading your blog and am so glad I found it.
thank you for being who you are!
You are simply amazing!!!
AMY!!! I am so proud of you, so proud of you, yes, i do think I like the person you are becoming and the friend I like to call you! this is your blog and your thoughts and we love you for it, so keep it real...and let it all out...you are inspiring to me and I will keep coming back, a LOT, will you tire of me???
Have a wonderful weekend!
More power to you! Thanks for keepin' it real! ~ Robyn
I know what you mean....I think it bothers me even more, the people who know they should keep in touch with a call, but just read my blog and think they HAVE kept in touch! It's like, read the blog and then call to talk about what you read, DUH!! Yep, this blog is your deal...If they know they would not be invited to be a part of the Queens Court, they should not show up at the Castle!!
Blessings~LillySue
P.S. I am a sporadic recluse. I like to have long spells at home and then one day out and about. I L*O*V*E working at home!!
I agree! We love your blog!
~Michelle
amy, I love your blog because it's your blog... your thoughts, funny words, your life... don't change!
xo,
LuLu
When I heard about blogging I thought "who wants to read about someone talking about themselves" Then slowly I got into a few blogs and someone asked me if I had one and I had things I wanted to write about me and THEN I realized I wanted to read about other people's lives, thoughts and likes! It's fun to have other people enjoy reading about me too! I'm sorry you have had a bad time. I love your blog. You are always upbeat and fun! I think we all really would rather just be in our "safe place" Heck we all love our homes we show them all the time why would we want to leave them!! hehehe Enjoy blogging! And if you do change your name I hope I find you!
Hugs,Lisa
So glad your not changing a thing!! Your blog is great and so is that kitchen!! ooo-eee...it looks great white!!
Jen
I love you and your attitude!
I SO understand! I find it so amazing that someone so hateful to me looks at my blog twice a day! Amazing aren't they?
"Keep it Real", and "silly" is what I always say.
I love being at home too...and posting pictures of my kids on the net seems a bit strange - like I am the one violating something of their privacy....
So glad to see you voicing your opinion - sometimes it takes a bit of a shout.
Mz. Maisy:
A wise woman once told me that as you get older the circle gets smaller and you will find out who your true friends are and that includes family sometimes.
Once I learn to let go I was able to move forward......
Time is a gift not a threat......it gives us time to reflect, gain wisdom and hopefully serenity....!
Blog my friend blog away and I say screw those negative persons.....who have life; nothing better to do than take daily peeks at how wonderful your kitchen looks or your lastest and greatest vintage find........
Your husband and kids are your priority and lets face it girl, we are all a bit weird and funky....I know i am.
Have a great weekend and by the way your kitchen looks great, modern and brighter...!
I know there are people that are not in my life anymore that follow my blog too. I don't know why they would want to read about me if they are not in my life. Keep being yourself and know you are doing this for you and your family...no one else. You should just write more about how hot you are, how many great friends you have and how amazing your home is:-)
Hi Amy, I can totally relate to this post. I felt the same way about certain family members at one time as well...sometimes I wonder if I am putting myself out there too much. I don't divulge to too many that I do have a blog. Except for close friends. I figure if 'they' find it..they find it. This is my place to vent and share my creative side... that only my bloggy girlfriends seem to understand-ME!!
I have some people who read my blog that I wish would just stay away too. I'm sorry that you have had to deal with this. Don't change. It is not worth giving them any satisfaction.
Love you blog!!
You just keep on keeping it real! I have thought the same things about people that I want kept "out" may find me on here and lurk....but we are what and who we are and so, we trudge on.
I am one of many, many, many, who love your blog and look forward to reading your posts and oohing and ahhing over your photos!
So keep up your wonderful inspiration and to those unwanted "lurkers"...GET OUT!!
Lou Cinda :)
I had to make my family blog private cause, like you, i knew it was being read by ppl who i no longer speak to (i had the feedjit app installed at the bottom of the blog). I hope you don't have to come to that. I've since made my family blog separate so that i can still talk about the things i love, hoping the ppl i don't like won't find me! lol....
I enjoy your blog and how you keep it real. :)
