Something So Minor

I am having this one teensy weensy problem with my computer.

Now I don't think you know this but Maisy refuses to share a computer.
Actually, when it comes to food and my electronics I'm not a very good sharer.

I snarl and tell the other people living in this house to step away before I turn my CRAZY on.

Well, now I have myself in a pickle.
I have loaded all my stuff onto my laptop.
It never even occurred to me to load all my software onto the desktop computer.
NOPE.....not me....I wanted to keep all my stuff to myself.

Well, now less than a year after sweet hubby bought me a brand new sparkling laptop it won't recognize that it is plugged into the charger.

That's right....I have a DEAD computer.

I am heartbroken.

I feel a bit lost.

I'm stuggling with the mouse I am now forced to use.

I have to send it alllll the way back to the manufacturer.

I think a tear just rolled down my cheek.

I hope she doesn't get homesick.

I hope she doesn't just sit there thinking he Mama left her and that she is never going home.

I will have to pack her a little lunch for her travels.
I was thinking maybe a memory card and I just may leave a disc in her so she doesn't get too sad.

This is a bad day at the Maisy house.
To top this all off I am seriously PMSing.

Hope you all have a better day than I am having.

I better go so I can figure out where to send her.
IT BETTER BE COVERED BY THE WARRANTY.
They don't know who they are messin' with ~

Here's my solution...
Cry-because you want to
Bubble bath--because then you won't have the salty tears on you
Candles-because they just make it better
Your form of junk food--because tomorrow doesn't matter, it's just about today :)
Feel better friend!!!

And if all else fails, chocolate. There's nothing like chocolate to a woman that's PMSing.

Oh, those computers. With me it is a love/hate relationship. Truly computers can be so wonderful one minute and then so awful the next. I think you computer will miss you but will be happy to be sent off to be fixed.

Hi Amy! I feel your pain! My computer is only a few months old and the USB ports don't work, period (that means no printing and no downloading pictures). I've lost hours of my life on the phone with the tech people and still nada. I could go on, but I might start screaming :) Hope your day and computer get better!

Amy...I so know how you feel. We just lost our MAC desktop - harddrive crashed. Luckily, we're able to get all our stuff off. But we learned our lesson - we're backing all our computer to a 3rd party internet company....!

And - come over, and you can borrow mine ANYTIME - and we'll have a cup of tea and chat away.

Maisy,
Learn to burn discs with all your important things or get a memory stick to download all the vital info. I've learned this the hard way, also. That way once you do thatyou can put all your stuff on another computer easily. Burning discs isn't hard and your computer should have the instructions and program. Check it out when you get the little dear back. Be careful about putting vital info that people could steal your identy. Sorry to be such a downer but it might save you in the future. I especially worry about my pictures and retreaving them. A good IT guy can get your info off your hard drive. I had to do that with 2 of my old computers...so there is a liglht at the end of the tunnel!

I hope it all turns out well! I am also a food and electronics hoarder. I hope you aren't without your beloved laptop for long. Were you at least able to blog this from the desktop at home then? Hope you have a better day! By the way, I have discovered that Peanut Buster Parfaits are PMS heaven---choc, vanilla and salt are you kidding me? It is perfect! Maybe that will be a pick me up you can use! :)

So sorry! I know how it is. And I do hope these people get your laptop up and running fast!

UGH! I'm the same way--it's "MY" laptop, and i'd be lost without it! Mine did the same thing and since it was under warranty, they just sent me out a new power cord. Luckily, that was the problem and it's been fine (knock wood!) since. What kind of puter do you have? I hope it's an easy-under-warranty fix for ya, and she comes back home real soon!

Our laptop just went through the power cord plug-in blues. We went online. Found a great site that shows step by step how to fix it. It took about 2 hours b/c we were nervous and $7.00. She's workin' perfectly. Just a thought. 2 hours or 2 weeks?

My laptop needs to go into the shop...but I am dreading it. I will feel naked without it.
My three year old rolled up a sticker and inserted it into the disk drive (or whatever it's called). It's been 6 months, and I need to take it in before the year is up. It's always something.

I added you to my Reading List on my blog.

Hope you have a great day.

Ack, I hope she comes back quickly! I know what you are going through, I had a horrid virus not long ago and while my girl was gone, my morning coffee and I didn't know what to do with ourselves. It was painful!
