Coincidence???

The other night I was woken up by the smoke detector going off.
Well, it was actually morning...4:32 to be exact.

I layed there for a few minutes wondering if I had just dreamt that.
After a few minutes of foggy confusion I got out of bed.
I looked at the smoke detector and the lights were going crazy.
My eyes weren't focused yet so I had no idea what that meant.

One thing I did notice was that there wasn't any smoke.

Now, the smoke detector is right outside of Bradley's room.
So I thought I should just check on him.
When I stepped into his room.....

It smelled sooooo bad. It was so bad I could feel my throat burn a bit.
I ran to the fan and realized it was about to start on fire.
It was overheating.
I turned off the fan and woke Bill up.

He said that the battery in the smoke detector needed to be changed.
Can you believe it?????....we actually changed it right then in there....normally we would do rock paper scissors to see who had to change it.
Then we would agree that someone will change it in the morning.
HEY....it was 4:30 in the morning.
We grabbed our sweet Bradley and put him in bed with us.....safe and sound.
ahhhh..

My question to you is this....

Do you think the battery going out in the smoke detector at that exact moment was just a coincidence?
I really have a hard time believing that.
I think Bradley had his guardian angel with him.

I ended it with a saying out loud a BIG FAT THANK YOU to whatever was watching over him.

Well....that's my story..have a great weekend....go do something realllly fun. It's our last weekend of summer break :(
(I hate routine)

Nope not a coincidence at all, someone is watching out for your little boy...when my son had his 1st seizure I was on the phone with my mom and she told me he was acting weird, and she explained his behavior, I told her I would be home as soon as i can...and then the phone went dead. I called and there was a busy signal, well the phone cut out the same exact moment my son had a grand mal seizure, coincidence? Not sure, but talk about some amazing energy...I knew at that moment something was wrong, left work and flew to the hospital. Got to hold those babies tight! :) Happy weekend...xo

WOW! I definitely think it was his Guardian Angel, or maybe someone special in Heaven watching over him. Thank goodness you woke up and thank goodness the battery decided to die right then. Chills.

I hope you guys have a lovely weekend!

My sweet friend Maisy, it is of NO SURPRISE whatsoever that God orchestrated this "oddity" of the battery need at 4:32 for that very reason, that you would get up and check on your son......I am with the others........HE was definitely watching over ya'll.......great to know isn't it?

YOu know when I saw your post I was sure it was about fire alarm batteries going out in the middle of the night. Mine ALWAYS do!! I keep a huge supply so I have them but for the fan to be starting to burn that is surely someone looking out for your sweet boy!
Glad all is ok!

NO WAY!!!! That is CRAZY! No coincidence AT ALL!!! My dad once had that happen....and he came into my room to check on me and the trim of my baby blanket was wrapped around my neck and I was choking! (although not a fire alarm....more of him suddenly waking up and needing to check on me)
SUCH A BLESSING!!!!!

Wow! What a crazy story! No coincidence--that was meant to happen and for you to get up and take care of it all--fate, destiny...whatever you call it! Glad everything and everyone is alright!

That's scary! I'm glad all is well Amy. Maybe the detector picked up the electrical odor and went off.
Then the batteries died.
