Messy, Messy, Messy

I have been a bit busy lately.
On Saturday we leave to go on vacation.
I have the garage full of things that need to be painted...
tables, shelves, a buffet, some mirrors that I need to rehang.
Needless to say, Bill hasn't been able to park in the garage.

I think he would like to park in there because we will be gone for a week.

Guess what that means...MAISY HAS BEEN PAINTING!

When Maisy paints I get nothing else done.

Just look at what has happened...

(please feel free to click on the photos to enlarge...in case you can't read it)
I keep buying avocados with the intention to make some guacamole. The problem is I NEVER have the other ingredients.

I just put things down sometimes thinking that the big idea is going to come.
Problem with that is....sometimes it just doesn't come.

Why oh why???

What the hell....
It is all so random.

Someone once told me there is order in chaos.
I can't find it through all my crap~

Hi, Ho, Hi, Ho it's off to painting I go....
See ya on Friday...
I will be in full blown panic mode because I haven't done anything for this trip.
(order in chaos...order in chaos...order in chaos...)
Happy Wednesday~

I am just glad to know someone else lives like this. What to do with all the random crap?

I just painted my dining room table and wonder why I didn't do it a long time ago! Isn't it true that its impossible to keep up with everything??? While one thing gets done another falls apart!?!?! Anyways, I'm hoping to go to garage sales this weekend to find more furniture to paint! Its addicting!

LOVE this post....you are so real with us! Know that you are not alone, my house is DIZ-ASS-TER and just might stay that way for another 2 weeks.

LOVE from CA!

so relate.........and with 5 kids under 12, well, you kwim!

order in chaos comes from you letting go of how it all looks and letting it just be (the who cares business...I'm going on vacation)

if your sink is clean, then all is good.
have a wonderful time on vaca!

My house looks the same way. When people come over, I find myself saying, "oh, excuse that over there." Enjoy your vacation.

How are your patients doing?

LOL...it's so true, everything else falls by the wayside when trying to get projects done. I guess you just have to embrace the mess:)

Forget the housework! My house has never been so messy in the 20 years I've been married. But guess what? I'm also the happiest I've been in 20 years because I'm doing what brings me joy!

Besides, housework makes you ugly! (My friend Molly sells hand painted signs and hand made necklaces with that exact phrase on them!!!)

Enjoy your day!

I have hubby fooled because I just move my piles from one place to another and he thinks I actually clean house all the time, heehe! I believe things can so totally wait when you are into a project such as painting furniture!! I do it pretty regularly and my kids have yet to miss a meal.

My house falls apart real quick if I'm working on any type of project!! This is sort of childish, but I play this game with myself. I set the timer on the oven for eight minutes and then race around cleaning up as much as I can before the timer sounds. Hey, it works!!

Have a great trip!!

Let that man back in the garage!!! I feel his pain. My husband has all his tools out because he has been working on a big project...I will show soon. I just want my car in the garage:-) Love that new white mirror on the desk. You should try my cleaning method. I stuff all the crap in the hall closet before people come over and then forget about it:-)

Have fun painting, Amy. It's a pain, but the results are always worth it, girl. Honestly, does your husband REALLY need to park his car in the garage? I know if we had a garage, there would definitely not be any car parking there - much more important uses for a garage!

Don't you hate that. My husband makes piles every where around the house. I swear he puts his motorcycle helmet on the stove, why??? My college roommate always called that surface dirt!
Happy vacation~
