~A Peek Into Maisy's World~

Since the kitchen is getting painted we had to take the doors off the cabinets.

One word for you......WOW!!!!!

I have so much crap that doesn't match.
It's in the wrong places.
Maisy needs to get organzized.....in a BIG WAY~

On a light note...I love the color yellow!

Does any one family with only 2 kids in the house REALLLLLLLLY need to have that many water bottles?? Sheesh. You would think we were active or something??
Almost as if we go on long bike rides together just to get to the local ice-cream parlor.

To think that we actually fondue every New Year's Eve.
That's right, cheese..meat and chocolate fondue!!!
Jeez....we are so old school.
Does anyone else do that?

I really need to simplify and just get all white serving pieces.
"No Bill, seriously, I'm just doing everyone a favor so I don't confuse the kids when they unload the dishwasher that one special time a year."

Nothing like a cabinet for cookbooks, crayons & coloring books. Now, let's throw in some energy bars, Chuck-E-Cheese tokens (yes, that is what I do to expose Bradley to every germ in the world possible) and phone books.
Oh wait...I forgot garbage sticker and the dogs flea and heartworm pills.
Wow...I can't believe I almost forgot to mention the gardening books for the pond and the manuals that came with the house when we bought it.
I like to think of this cabinet at the "One Stop Shop" cabinet.

Keep in mind that every time I cook I swear like a sailor because I can NEVER find the spices I'm looking for~

This is hilarious.....Just look at that.
Pie pans, colanders, protein powder, baggies, muffin tins and of course the water jug.
Seriously, why do we need a water jug if we only drink beer, wine, coffee and pop?

Apparently, it's a bit much for me to stack my pans in a neat and orderly fashion.

This cabinet actually makes it look like I clean.
Nope, I have a cleaning lady~

Thank your lucky stars that I didn't even show you what was inside the drawers.

This is my family room empty.

I better get going...there is a lot to do around here.

Happy Tuesday....

I'm so happy to be back with all of you again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's going to look great! What a major undertaking, I can't even imagine. But it looks like it was totally worth it and maybe you can sell some of your treasures on Maisy's Market?!

That's how I felt when we remodeled and I had to pack the kitchen up. Yikes! I think most of our cupboards would look like that if we "exposed" ourselves!

Don't worry, mine look worse!! I LOVE the colors though. They are great!

Holly said it - when did you sneak into my kitchen and take shots of my cabinets? I would be totally afraid to show you mine. To think when I moved in here I thought I had so many cabinets and drawers that I didn't have enough stuff to fill'em. Now every drawer is a junque drawer... I can't wait to see the finished result. ~ Robyn

Your cupboards are just like mine! A total mess! Thanks for making me feel better about my own!

By the way, which white did you choose?

WOW you started painting with all that stuff in the cupboards? If I did that I would have paint everywhere!!! Are you painting or someone else? Also are you painting oak cabinets? Please let me know how it goes...steps etc. I want to paint mine but everyone says I can't paint oak because of the grain.
Blessings~

Your shelves don't look that bad!! You should see my sister's shelves, now they could really use some organizing! I love how big your kitchen is! Looks so spacious! Can't wait to see the cabinets complete!! Enjoy your day!

LOL I can so relate! We just had new cabinet doors made and then painted. I thought I would go insane staring at all my junk in my cabinets. :) Oh but I love it now so it's all worth it!

I have a bottom cabinet just like yours with coloring books, playdoh--because the kitchen is where that stuff belongs right? It just always seemed to be a school-kid cabinet even though I could desperately use another cabinet and drawer! Hmmm...

Looking at your cleaning cabinet reminds me that I need to go through and organize mine! Ack!

And we are a family of 7 and we have double the amount of water bottles you have, what is that about really???

I just popped over from Rebekah's blog and I'm so excited to get to see your kitchen transformation. I have been dreaming/planning mine for abt 9 years now, so seeing it actually happen for someone is quite exciting! Oh, and I just purged our water bottles. It was out of control!
