~Just Another Day at Goodwill~

Here I go...
Another Goodwill story...

I will try to keep it short and sweet....
wish me luck~
This is all I want you to do~On Friday I went to my favorite Goodwill store.
This is what I found~
I use china for my everyday dishes.
If I don't I never seem to have the right occasion to whip it out.
We have a big family and we don't have enough for everyone.
So it never gets used.
Sad but true.
So I thought to myself...shucks I really want to use that stuff. So I said "hey kids....put your best manners on...we're usin' china."

That's it...I'm bringing the dinner party back in style.
Would you like to come??
It is a Johann Haviland
Bavaria Germany
set of dishes.
As you can see...this set even came with a creamer & sugar bowl.
It is just the most beautiful shade of blue.
The most beautiful thing about this set is that there is PLATINUM all around the edges.
This set is just dreamy.
*sigh*
Now...

You are cordially invited...
to attend...
a dinner party at Maisy's house.

Ps. The kicker in all this is that the entire set of dishes, which is made up of:
12 dinner plates
12 salad plates
12 soup bowls
12 bread & butter plates
12 sauce dishes(whatever that means)
12 cups & saucers
a creamer & sugar bowl
1 large vegetable bow

are you ready......
seriously, are you ready???

IT WAS UNDER $100.00

I have had to pinch myself a few times over the weekend.
I just can't seem to bring myself to disassembling the table.

Looks like my family will be eating off this set for Passover.

Happy Monday to all!!!

(don't tell anyone but...that's a Martha Stewart table cloth...shhhhhhhh)

Wow!!! Beautiful china, beautiful table!!! I love to set a pretty table and love using my china. I broke a cup last week when I had the ladies over for my mom's birthday and my china is no longer being made. Oh well. Love the wonderful bargain you were able to get!!!

SIGH......I think using china for everyday would be awesome! I also love to mix and match my older pieces of china. So pretty and I wouldn't want to take that table apart either.

Admittedly, your goodwill finds make me run to mine and then face utter disappointment as there is never anything exciting there. I will live vicariously!!

Write me up a place card, I could use a dinner that doesn't involve finger foods for a change!
PS I moved my blog, stop by sometime!

Those are just beautiful. I also love the platinum trim. It pairs so well with the soft blue. How exciting to find a large amount of a pretty pattern.

Your chairs turned out so lovely. I would love to come to the party!

I think you should totally paint over the bottom and leave the stripes on the top.
