~My First Give-a-Way~

I really want to do something nice for my blog friends. It is kind of a spin off of all these questionnaires going around....

If I could be be anything I wanted I would be either an anthropologist or an archeologist.
(that is when i grow up of course)

Comment and tell me what you would want to be (when you grow up).

If you comment AND link this give-a-away on a post I will put your name in to a drawing for a $50 gift card to a store/restaurant of your choice.

If you comment, link this give-a-way on your blog AND become a FOLLOWER I will put your name in to a drawing for a $100 gift card to a store/restaurant of your choice.
(if you are already a follower and you do the comment & link thing you will be put in the $100 drawing)

The guy above will be handling everything.
Don't worry.... he knows his letters, numbers & colors!

Yes, that's right...SUPERMAN!!!

And yes....he still has to do homework!

I can't wait to read all the comments.
You are all so very special to me.

Thank you for just being you .
YOU are all the greatest!!!!!!!!!

I am a follower already. I want to be catcher for the Chicago White Sox when I grow up. If I win the contest I want a gift certificate to Sullivans Steakhouse. However, if I win people will question the integrity of your process.

If and when I ever grow up, I want to be 18thy century French royalty. Seriously, I was born in the wrong century. I should have ended up in a time where pasty skinned fat girls were considered gorgeous. And lounging in my suite of rooms with my staff waiting on me all day would suit me just fine...

Oh my Gosh, at the moment I can't think anything I would like to be more than a mom.
Nothing seems to matter to me more than that...
I sat in front of the computer for a little while thinking about what I would like to be when I grow up, but as I said... I'm baby crazy! :o)

Well I don't intend to grow up...but let's just say I did...I'd be a treehouse builder and probably have a collection of them as well...people could rent them to stay in :)

If I ever grow up, which I highly doubt will happen I want to be a choregrapher or a ballerina...which ever came first, however, since I haven't put my feet in ballet shoes for years and years, I don't see this happening! :) I will stick to being a mom...is it ok to enroll my son in ballet now? ;0

whooppee! Now, that is some great giveaway! I'll be sure and tell people on my next post.

I've never figured out what I want to be when I grow up. I hate to give up and admit that I am a grown up already, with no plan....

Hi Maisy, I think I have always wanted to be an artist, to be a wonderful painter. That and a time traveler. Thanks for the heads up on the drawing, and I think Superman will do an exelent job.

Well, like many others, I'm a follower - and for the life of me, I can't think of anything creative or exciting to say.

I am living my dream. I always dreamed of being a stay-at-home-mom, married to my best friend and have a dog. Howevery, in my dreams I never felt the love, the pressure, the passion, the endurance, the faith and the backbone it would take to live this dream. In my youth, I seemed to think it was very Mrs. Cleaver with the 1/2 apron and freshly baked goodie when the kiddos came home from school. I am no June Cleaver, but am excited to say "I am what I wanted to be when I grew up"!!!

When I grow up I want to be ... oh, I don't even know the name for it, but the one who chooses resorts for company trips. That way, I could travel, indulge, and play AND get paid!

Thanks for the comments! What a great giveaway, count me in!

Ok, so I'm a follower now...For as long as I can remember I wanted to be a homemaker or businesswoman. I'm neither of those, but my dream is to be able to leave the rat-race of the workforce and work from home. Since I'm single, I can't be a housewife, so maybe I can be an official "housewoman"! Yeah, I like the sound of that...

The list is so long of all the things I want to be when I grow up...writer, professional traveler:-), continue to create and love it, grandma, decorator...

The answer to this question really depends on my age- when I was really little 2-4yrs- I wanted to be a strawberry, or McDonalds worker, or a hillbilly singer. (my dad is from NJ and he always would make fun of my mom's country music, so that's why I called it "hillybill.")

When I got older, I wanted to be a special education teacher, I even worked one summer at the Virgina Dept of Edu. in special ed., but I came home every day really sad and depressed.

Then I wanted to be a lawyer and now I'm thinking I want to go into nursing and get my Master's in public health. I would really love to work for the government, or an NGO, creating programs for women with children and and pregnant teenagers.

oh, and I'm a follower :)

Looks like the giveaway is in good hands! When I grow up, I want to be content and wise (is this ever possible?). Now I'm usually never much of a follower in anything, but with this financial incentive thrown in, I'm feeling the pressure to go on over to see what it's about - is it sort of the difference between having a magazine subscription and getting it off the newstand?

the wild raspberry said...

ok, finally....i was gone all day yesterday plus i needed to use my brain on this one...whew.
i was laying in bed thinking about what i want to be ... and i realized, i am completely content with what i'm doing and who i am--being a wife and a mother, a friend, and as good a christian that i can be.
i would like to sing in the grand ole opry once with someone great and famous...just once will do! :)
have a great day.
chasity
i'll stick a blog link on too!!!

What a wonderful giveaway! I'll post your generous giveaway on my blog and follower. When I was very little I wanted to be a veterinarian, then as I got older and realized that I would deal with a lot of blood and people who would abuse animals I decided that wasn't my calling.

I am still on that journey to find out what I want to be... so please don't tell me I am all grown up!

Hi Amy! What a lovely idea and nice give away. Hmmm. That is a toughie. I am almost what I want to be, but I hope to be a better version of me in most respects. A more patient mom, a less snappy wife (especially certain times of the month or when my dear hubby has to work late...why is it so hard to hold my tongue?), a better listener and a women of much greater wisdom to be a true encouragement to my husband, family and friends. That is a tall order, but I sure hope I get there some day. Chas already put a link on. Have a lovely day! Debbie

Good to see you guys tonight! My husband fell asleep on the sofa with the dog when we got back so I'm back on the computer (LOL).

I want to be a travel guide when I grow up. I'd aspire to lead trips that include the following: outdoor natural hot springs, mountains, homemade pastries, the smell of pine trees, a 3-5 mile walk per day, and charming bed and breakfasts with 320 thread count sheets and fresh coffee and OJ in the morning.

Doesn't sound like work, does it?

I'll post a link on my blog too.

First of all WOW what a contest!!! I have taken a few minutes to think about what I want to be when I grow up and I can't come up with a single thing......because I want to do everthing. I know that sounds crazy but wouldn't it be so awesom to know how to make those deliscouse cinnabon creations. Or know how to make beautiful floral arragements. Or know what it's like to save someone from a fire. I guess that is what being a mother is because you really do it all just about. So I guess in short I am happy being a mom for now even if I can't make the perfect cinnamon roll...sigh. Oh and to see your link back here on my blog you have to go to http://redpolkadot-ideastalker.blogspot.com/ . Have a wonderful day!!

Love your big iron bed. So cute!

As for what I want to when I grow up, I'm not sure. I don't think I would do anything differently, as I have always wanted to be a teacher. Now that I am teaching high school students again, I couldn't imagine doing anything else. Although when I graduate (with my doctorate), I will possibly consider other educational avenues within my district.
